A benefit dinner and silent auction for the Geauga County Dog Shelter and Geauga Sheriff Department’s K-9 unit will be from 6 to 9 p.m. April 20 at Chardon United Methodist Church, 515 North St. in Chardon.

Cost is $20 for a chicken dinner; $25 for salmon.

Tickets will be sold on an advance basis only.

The event is hosted by Totally Dogs 4H Club and Geauga County Recorder Sharon Gingerich.
